Cornwall's Farmer's Markets
Join the local movement, and support Cornwall's Farmer's Markets.
Cornwall is proud of its long and strong agricultural heritage, and in 2017 this heritage was physically manifested by the operation of not one, but two Farmer's Markets: the original long-running Cornwall Farm Market held on The Wish House lawn in West Cornwall and the Cornwall Co-op Farm Market that made its debut in 2017 on the Cornwall Green.
Both Markets are going strong. In 2019 The Cornwall Farm Market is held on Saturday mornings from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM while the Cornwall Co-op Farm Market runs from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
What better way to support Cornwall's local farms and businesses than to shop every Saturday at both of these establishments? Here's a generalized CT crop calendar for what might be coming to Cornwall's Farmer's Markets in the coming months; it's always best to check their websites for specifics.
Local food (meat, milk, produce, baked goods, maple syrup, jams, jellies and preserves) and local flowers are one easy way to incorporate sustainable practices into your life. Sourcing food and flowers locally cuts down on pollution and carbon emissions required to transport these materials long distances to grocery stores or florists. Local food and flowers are fresher, more nutritious, taste better and last longer than their grocery store counterparts.
